After a stint in broadcast journalism, I moved into current affairs/travel adventure docs – even early in my career I was shooting and directing my own award-winning films, turning complex topics into compelling stories – working in extremely remote places, often in conflict zones, and shooting/directing award-winning films. These docs went on to receive millions of online streams and a number won awards, including a selection as a Webby Awards finalist.

That background as a self-shooting director and editor, has served me well in other unscripted genres, from obs docs to nat hist. I also have drone quals for the EU, USA and the UK and I can offer a complete FX6 package. I’m as comfortable shooting high-end specialist factual as I am doing obs docs or lighting a beautiful interview. But as well as top tier shooting skills, I’m also known for my considered approach to contribs and sensitive stories.

I’ve worked on all seven continents – from small budgets all the way up to crews of more than 40 people and A-list talent. I offer a unique set of skills; bringing technical film craft and story together.
